There She Serves...

The job of Miss Missouri is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that carries with it service above self. I am spending my year of service traveling the state on a yearlong speaking tour to advance my social impact initiative: "Leave Your MARK", by increasing the quantity and quality of mentoring relationships in an effort to reduce the mentoring gap for at risk kids. In an effort to leave my own mark, I founded my own 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Writeous Girls, Inc. Writeous Girls, Inc. is a mentoring program that delivers a curriculum that empowers young women through writing, photography, digital media, and community.
I also speak to schools and civic organizations on various topics such as education, community service, and women's empowerment. I use my talent of baton twirling to engage with the students and speak to them about character education and the importance of making good decisions, developing positive activities and habits, good citizenship, and responsibility.
In my role as Miss Missouri, I am passionate about living a life of service and being Missouri's Children's Miracle Network Goodwill Ambassador; raising funds and awareness for families who otherwise would not be able to afford quality medical care in urgent situations. The Miss America Organization partners with the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals as its national platform and has raised over $16 million dollars.
